We are the Michigan Advertising & Marketing Club, a student run organization that provides the opportunity for students to gain marketing and advertising experience as well as to help businesses and organizations effectively market and advertise themselves.

MAM is made up of 3 types of teams.

MARKET RESEARCH TEAM

The Market Research Team ( MRT) is responsible for conducting market research, which provides client teams with key information to plan and execute marketing strategy, as well as measure its success. MRT often conducts field experiments, survey research, online research, and data analysis.

CLIENT TEAMS

CREATIVE DESIGN TEAM

Client teams are made up of 4 to 6 students and are tasked with developing marketing strategies for their client. Client teams are grouped by business, restaurant/entertainment, and lifestyle.

 

Our Winter 2014 clients are: Line Bouncer,  Will Work For Food, Grand Circus, V-BID, Mani Osteria/Isalita, Iorio's Gelateria, Ray's Red Hots, Necto, Big Ticket Productions, Zaragon, Zaragon West, S3 Safe Sex Store, Rock Paper Scissors, and optiMize.

Creative Design Team (CDT) members  responsible for the creative work for all of the MAM clients. In addition to designing and producing content for client teams, they also participate in CDT wide projects and activities.

 

Past projects have included mobile application design, posters and fliers, social media posts, and videos.

BUSINESSES

Send an email to mampresident@umich.edu to get started. While we are no longer looking for clients for the Winter 2014 semester, we're always open to building relationships for future semesters. We look for businesses interested in print, digital, and social media work done by Michigan students.

 

Interested businesses must have strong communication skills and be willing to delegate tasks and needs to our student members.

STUDENTS

Thanks for your interest in MAM! We are no longer accepting applications for Winter 2014; we welcome you to check back in the Fall!

 

Prospective members should have strong interest in advertising, marketing, market research, and/or advertising design. They must be willing and able to work in teams, and motivated to participate in club-wide activities. We look for members that are able to think creatively and solve client challenges.

Meet our 2013—2014 Executive Board! They're a pretty cool bunch.

JEN EISENBERG
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Jen is a senior studying Linguistics and Spanish. She started out in MRT four years ago and became MRT Co-Director before her current position as Executive Vice President.

REEMA RAO
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
(BUSINESS)

Reema is a senior majoring in Business and has been a part of MAM for four years. Her last position was Account Director for Coca-Cola.

STACEY SCIMECA
PRESIDENT

Stacey is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business and Community Action and Social Change. This is her fourth year with MAM; her last position was Executive Vice president.

AROOJ ASLAM
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
(LIFESTYLE)

Arooj is currently a senior majoring in Psychology and Spanish. This is her fourth year in MAM; she was last Co-Director of Market Research before becoming the Lifestyle SVP.

JILL CLANCY
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND EVENT DIRECTOR

Jill is a senior majoring in Sociology and Communication Studies. This is her 4th year with MAM; her last position was Senior Vice President of Business accounts.

CARMEN LEE
CO-MARKET RESEARCH DIRECTOR

Carmen is a junior majoring in Business and Financial Mathematics. She has been in MAM as both a general member and a MRT member before becoming Co-Market Research Director.

 

CHRIS TRAN
CO-MARKET RESEARCH DIRECTOR

Chris is currently a senior studying Mathematics and Communication Studies. Going into his fourth year with MAM, he started as a general member before becoming MRT Co-Director.

ALEX SAN JOSE
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT (RESTAURANT/
ENTERTAINMENT)

Alex is a BBA senior entering his fourth year in MAM. His last position was Account Director for the Music Promotions Team.

MICHAEL HAUPT
CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Michael is a junior majoring in Anthropology and Psychology. He participated in MAM for 2 years as  CDT member prior to becoming
Co-Creative Director.
